* You can use 1/2 yards in place of the 1/4 yards if you want to use fewer fabrics. If you'd like to use 1/2 yards, divide the number of 1/4 yards needed in half; to use yards, divide the number of 1/4 yards needed by 4. During the cutting step, you'll cut double or four times what is required of each 1/4 yard. However, with this design, the more cuts of fabric and variation, the better.
